We completely understand your frustration with the rollout of the NSW Government COVID business support.
We have been speaking with them daily, and realise that they are inundated with applications.
What we know is that once your application has been approved, it takes 5-10 working days for the payment to be made.
ServiceNSW is expecting to assess the majority of application this week.
So far they have received 104,000 Business Grant applications, 22,000 Micro Grant applications and 67,000 JobSaver applications
On Friday, ServiceNSW made further changes to the eligibility criteria, meaning that if you were previously not eligible, you may now be.
Criteria is now:
COVID Business Grant – Applications close 13 September 2021
Operating in NSW on 1 June 2021
Australian wages of <$10M at 1 July 2020
Turnover >$75K and <$50M for FY2020
Maintain headcount at 13 July 2021
Experienced a decline >30% over minimum 2 week period between 26 June and 17 July 2021 compared to:
o The same period in 2019 or
o The same period in 2020 or
o The 2 week period immediately before lockdown – 11 to 25 June 2021
JobSaver – Applications close 18 October 2021
Operating in NSW on 1 June 2021
Turnover >$75K and <$250M for FY2021
Maintain headcount at 13 July 2021
Experienced a decline >30% over minimum 2 week period between 26 June and 28 August 2021 compared to:
o The same period in 2019 or
o The same period in 2020 or
o The 2 week period immediately before lockdown – 11 to 25 June 2021
Micro-Grant – Applications close 18 October 2021
Operating in NSW on 1 June 2021
Turnover >$30K and <$75K for FY2020
Maintain headcount at 13 July 2021
Have this business as your primary income source
Experienced a decline >30% over minimum 2 week period between 26 June and 28 August 2021 compared to:
o The same period in 2019 or
o The same period in 2020 or
o The 2 week period immediately before lockdown – 11 to 25 June 2021
At this stage if you have already made an application, it will need to run through the ServiceNSW system.
We will be reassessing all businesses that were previously ineligible, and will be in touch with you.
ServiceNSW have advised that they will look into what to do if you have already made an application for the Business Grant and you are now eligible for a higher grant.
